As my husband and I went on a Cruise, the ship stopped in Key West and we did walk around there for about 4 hours and half. When we were on the land we did walk and I saw a nice red brick building which is the Custom House and it was recognized in “Florida Monthly Magazine” as best’s renovated building, best historical landmark and also as best museum in Florida. It was built on 1891 and it is a 3 ½-story Romanesque architecture landmark which first served as the city’s Federal Building during the wrecking era. Before it was old post office and now becomes a Customs House in Key West Museum of Art and History. It recently completed $9 million restoration transformed into a first class museum with fine arts and history exhibits. This museum is located in 281 Front St. Key West Monroe County, Florida.
