Road Trip

On Friday afternoon my husband and I went to Michigan to visit his parents for just 2 days or weekend. It was a good day driving going to Michigan since it was sunny and from Indiana to Grosse Pointe, Michigan it took about 4 hours & half hour drive and that was not bad at all. We had fun seeing parent’s in-law and I miss them since I do not see them often. When we arrived there on Friday I was even surprised that they still have snow on the ground and my mother in-law told me that they had snow for about 4 inches and that is kind of thick snow and when we were there it was not even melting yet and it is already spring time they still experiencing snow. When the 1st time I arrived here in the States on year 2005, before my husband and I got married, we went in “Sunken Gardens” and I liked the gardens since there are some butterfly and it is a big garden. Waterfalls

When my husband, his best friend and I went to Bohol, Philippines and we did not miss riding a boat and we end up stopping nearby the waterfall as you can see here in my picture. On other might, my husband and I watched this one “Into the Wild Movie,” this movie is Directed by Sean Penn and it is based on a true story and the best selling book by Jon Krakauer. I really liked this movie especially it is based on true story and besides it is one of the best movie that I like as the actors are great and loved it. You will see the beautiful mountains, plans, sky, rivers and animals. The story of this movie is Christopher McCandless, just graduated from college in the early 1990s, goes off on an adventure. He is smitten with books he reads—Thoreau, London, Byron. He wants no money, so he gives his to needy causes or burns it. Chris is cocky, driven, and industrious. He is traumatized by his parents' bad marriage. He tries to work through his anguish. He seems determined to destroy himself just to prove that he has different values than his parents. When he was gone went to the wild his parents changed and as a husband and wife they become good to each other, went to the church or prayed together and his parents really worry on him where he is. Chris is in the wild trying to survive hunt some food killed animals and lived by himself and living in a dirt. He tries to travel somewhere without money and this movie somewhat reminds me of some guys or teenager ran away from their parents due to lack of attention to their kids, busy of their business or the parents keep fighting each other or the parents telling what to do always to their son/daughter makes their kids feel hatred to their parents. Through watching this “Into the Wild Movie” you will learn something as a son and being a parent. In my opinion, he must be crazy living by himself in the wild and eventually something happened to him and lack of food which makes him weak and etc. If you have not watch this movie yet, I will not ruin it for you, I will let you find out what will happen next, I will rate this movie as 4 and half stars out of 5 stars. My Viking Hat

One time, my husband and I went to Epcot in Disney and we went to Norway country in Epcot and they have a ride there and we did it and that was fun. My Broccoli Soup from Campbell’s

Basil Chicken and Vegetables Recipe from Campbell’s

Since my husband likes chicken and I wanted to cook for him not chicken but itself so, I will make this dish for my husband below and if you like it too just follow the recipe and the prep/cook time is 20 minutes and serves 4.

1 tbsp. vegetable oil
4 boneless chicken breast halves
1 can (10 ¾ oz.) 98% Fat Free Campbell’s Cream of Broccoli Soup
½ cup milk
¼ tsp. dried basil leaves, crushed
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 bag (16 oz.) frozen vegetable combination (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)

Heat oil in skillet. Add chicken and cook until browned.
Add soup, milk, basil, pepper, and vegetables. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes or until done.

Foolproof Beef and Broccoli Recipe from Campbell's

Since I bought some of canned soup from Campbell’s and I found some recipe which I would like to share this 1 recipe to people here online and the pre/cook time for this is 25 minutes and it serves for 4 people.

1 lb. boneless beef sirloin or top round steak, 3/4" thick
2 tbsp. Vegetable oil
2 cups broccoli flowerets
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
1/8 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove garlic. Minced
1 can (10 ¾ oz.) 98% Fat Free Campbell’s Cream of Broccoli Soup
1/3 cup water
1 tbsp. soy sauce
4 cups hot cooked rice

Slice beef into very thin strips.
Heat 1 tbsp. oil in skillet. Add beef and stir-fry until browned.
Removed beef.
Add remaining oil. Add broccoli, onion and garlic and stir fry- until tender- crisp.
Add soup, water and soy.
Heat to a boil. Return beef to skillet and heat through. Serve over rice.

My husband, his best friend and I went to New York but before we met his best friend there as we arrived 1st in the hotel before my husband's friend. Walking in the Canal Walk

Since my husband and I loved to eat in a nice restaurant and we are fond to eat out and discover a new place to eat. Yesterday, my husband and I planned in the morning to eat our dinner in “Palomino” restaurant before to watch the live show in the theater. In about 4:30 pm I took shower, because I was thinking my husband will arrive that time and I must ready before that time as the show will be at 6:30. We just did walk from our hotel to this “Palomino” restaurant and I wanted we will drive but my husband said “oh honey it will take a long time to find a spot to park our car” and well… I understand that too and we walked perhaps about 15 minutes from our hotel to the restaurant. The restaurant address is 49 West Maryland Street Circle Centre Mall, #189 Indianapolis, IN 46204. When we arrived in the restaurant I was impressed because the decorations is very classy and loved it so much, very cozy inside and well decorated. I ordered pasta which is very tasty and I will order it again once we will go back there again and my husband did order a tilapia it comes with asparagus, rice and other spices as you can see the food that we ordered in “Palomino” restaurant, my husband said to me that he likes the food that he ordered. He said to me also that we can come back in this “Palomino” restaurant anytime I like or whenever we feel like it. We wanted to order appetizer but we were thinking it might be a lot and we cannot eat all our food especially we cannot bring the leftover as we are going to the live show. I consider this “Palomino” restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Indianapolis, I rate this as 5***** stars, friendly, great service and excellent food and my husband and I will definitely go back this restaurant again!

Today, he did make a speech in front of the camera together with his wife and he is apologizing for his behavior and made a brief speech also that he is resigning and it will be effective this coming Monday and that would be March 17, ’08. He should resigned and that is good he thought that way and he is not capable to continue being a governor if he keep doing his wrong doings and he know better than that but of course being a powerful man he can do whatever he wants. It is really a big shame and this kind of story it reminds me of one of the Senator “Gary Condit” it is kind of the same as he was also a womanizer. For me, I do not like who holds power in this country (USA) is doing like that as they are a leader and doing about that kind of matter. While my husband and I walking back to our hotel and as I am looking around to take photos and I found the street looks great especially the monument and that time I have not even know what kind of monument is that as you can see in the picture here. Elephant Statues

My husband and I walking in the canal and one that makes me destructed is this big statue of an elephant. So, I have decided to take a picture of it as it seems looks interesting to me. One time, my husband and I watched this “American Psycho Movie” which we recorded in our tivo. Starring here is Christian Bale, Chloe Sevigny and the director is Mary Harron. I knew it is an old movie which was on 2000 but I wanted to share my opinion, the movie is kind of a little bit confusing but for me it was good as it gives a lesson to people that we should not envy what people has or what they achieve in their lives. We should be contented what we got but sometimes we cannot deny that we feel envy to people who reached their goals but does not mean that we are going to do bad things to other in order we will feel satisfied of our guilt because of the feelings of enviousness. What we achieved we should not compare to others, because we will feel bad into ourselves, just be yourself and be calm (lol). Mostly of us has a pride that we do not want somebody is higher than us when it comes in position, status in life etc. Do I am lecturing here right now? Well… that is my opinion and perhaps I got my point. My husband and I enjoyed this movie.

Shopping in Carson Pirie Scott Department Store in Circle Center Mall

My husband and I did walk to the mall about 1:00 o’clock this afternoon. We planned to buy some stuff that my husband’s wants and I wanted to do shopping too. While we are walking around we found this “Carson Pirie Scott Department Store” in Circle Center here in Indianapolis, while we were walking around my eye caught into nice scarves and I went down there and looking some of them and I did try some also of the gloves and I found one which I like and I bought it as what you can see here in the picture, before it was 30 dollars and they sell it 50% off. It is soft, warm, nice material and I have some gloves but I just brought 1 here in Indiana and I wanted gloves which is much warmer and look luxurious (lol). I wanted to buy a hat also and I found one which I liked but I did not buy it as it is not yet on sale and it was $28 and perhaps when next time when I will come back will be on sale I will buy it and if it is still there. It was fun shopping in there and I planned to go back there when I feel like it.

As my husband and I went to Smithsonian Museum, we did not miss to see this ‘Hope Diamond,” and it has a long story of it and one that I like which Marie Antoinette (was the princess in France) had that diamond added to her collection and I saw her dress also in Bern museum and that was cool! I do not have anything to do; while I was surfing I listened and watched the “Cash Cab TV Game Show.” This show is great, because you will learn something from the trivia questions and by watching it this afternoon I learned something and that is great and perhaps one day there will be a contest and I am one of them and I can answer (lol). The JUNO Movie

My husband and watched this “Juno” movie yesterday in Circle Center Mall here in Indianapolis. It is directed by Jason Reitman and the starring are Ellen Page, Michael Cera, Jenniger Garner, Olivia Thirlby and Jason Bateman.
In my opinion, I liked the movie as it give as a lesson to kids who are young at age about 16 to above or teenager girls who are not yet responsible when it comes in pregnancy or who do not yet reach of maturity. As Juno (Ellen Page) get pregnant at age of 16 in this movie by her boyfriend and being a teenager pregnant doesn’t know what to do when it comes in motherhood. In this movie, I am glad she decided to let somebody adopt her baby (Jennifer Garner adopted her baby) in order her baby will have a good life. Juno in this movie is really a loud mouth and she is totally real “b” in this movie (lol) she can’t shut up but she is very funny though. I am glad that at last, her boyfriend and her are together and love each other but the sad thing is that the baby is not with her.:) If you like drama, comedy and romance movie, you should watch this, I will rate it 4 stars **** out of 5 stars.:)

My Husband Has A Flu and The Symptoms’

I am worry of my husband this morning, he went to work even he was not feeling well. In about noon time, I was wondering somebody knocking on the door, only to find out it was my husband and I thought he was feeling okay, but he was not as he said he felt horrible. He said to me, it just a sudden for him, last night, as I remember he woke up and got water and just hurriedly went back to the bed and shivering and makes me worried and I put the comforter around him and he said, hug me and make me warm and I am small and I am thinking it was not enough. Today, I made him a tea with lemon and also I did make fresh squeezed orange juice which we bought in Kroger’s on other night as we have one little box of orange juice I made 1 glass for him. I asked him if he will go back to work and he said he will not as he is really feel sick and he slept some hours and I let him sleep. When he woke up he said he feel a little better and makes me feel not so worried and tonight, we went to CVS pharmacy to buy a medicine for him. I guess he is getting better and I hope and I pray he will get well soon as makes me full happy when he will be feel back to normal.
